New Snap Bags don't steam vegetables

"My old Snap Bags (which I LOVE) broke. They don't make them any more and I couldn't find any replacement closers so I purchased the new "Steam and Store" bags. They look similar. Until they arrived and I found out the sealer is not microwave safe, so you are supposed t just push the silicone sides together and it us supposed to seal. Well, it does until it starts to steam, then pops open. I searched the internet for instructions, recommendations, something, but I got nothing. Only the old style pops up and those were great. I am returning these new ones. Why would you change something that worked so great? The gripstick bag closers are still top notch!"
